6 non-consecutive visa exempt entries in 2015

Featured Replies

I am travelling on a EU passport. I am currently having a year off work, and travel extensively. I've entered Thailand for 3 times this year, each for a 1 week or so holiday, with a couple of months between each visit. Now I will be back in SE Asia for the rest of the year, and I have planned 2 one-day transit visits via Suvarnabhumi (i.e. going through immigration but just changing planes) and am planning 1 or 2 separate 1 week holidays to Thailand as well, so that would work out as 6-7 visa exempt entries in 2015.

Because of the pattern of the visits it should be obvious that the entires are not visa-run entries and the total time spent in Thailand in 2015 is relatively low. I would always have onward flights booked and sufficient funds available. I know that before the 2014 changes this pattern would not have been any problem at all, but having read through the threads here at TV I am confused on the current situation. Should I seek a visa or avoid using Suvarnabhumi as a hub? Any insight is much appreciated.

You should not have a problem with your history of entries. It looks like what a tourist would do.
