Tourists again visiting Khao Kradong Forest Park in Buriram

BURIRAM, 13 October 2015, (NNT) - Tourists have started flocking to Khao Kradong Forest Park in Buriram Province, as winter weather approaches.

Officials at the site of the extinct volcano said the number of visitors last year was a record-breaking 460,000, while anticipating this year's figure would be roughly the same. They said previously the park welcomed only about 270,000 to 300,000 tourists a year.

The park rangers said the number of tourists visiting the site daily is now between 1,000 - 2,000, a significant jump from the previous 700-800 visitors. The cold weather conditions always attract more tourists at this time of the year. The number is expected to be even higher when winter is in full swing on the mountain.

Meanwhile, Khao Kradong Forest Park's average temperature is currently 22 degrees. The park offers visitors natural scenic beauty and the amazing history of the former volcano.
