Delay in doing extension to my non immigrant B visa

Featured Replies

Dear thaivisa, i need your advice on a visa issue. I am doing an extension to a non immigrant b visa. I went to the immigration and the documents were incomplete.

My visa is expiring on the 17th october and the immigration office says they can give me another 7 days but I will have to pay overstay fine.

I expect the documents to be ready by 20th.

My question is do I need to present myself before 17th october to explain myself at the immigration or just show up when I have all documents ready.

Thank you

Have you already applied for and received the 7 day extension?

Hi, i have not applied for the 7 day extension.

The immigration officer did not mention about applying for it at all.

Thanks

Check back with immigration and confirm exactly what they were advising.

1. Were they saying they would extend your stay "overlooking" up to 7 days overstay (Which you would have pay 500Bht/day)

Or

2. Were they suggesting you apply for the 7 day extension during which they would be willing to extend your stay obtained from the "B" visa.
