In above thread, I did not get the right answer to my question.

"I was yesterday with my sons and my GF and later 2 witnesses, at the local Amphoe

and wanted to get a document which should make me the Legal father of 2 of my Thai mixed boys. 8 and 12.

So far so good, got some writing from an official in the Amphoe, that in Thai confirms - so I understood,

that I am the father of the children and live with them and my GF.

2 witnesses had my GF to bring who had to confirm that too.

Is that now the right paper?

Its a written statement and stamped from the Amphoe.

But, I am still unsure, in my GF's translation I did not hear -Legal father- just that I am living with her and my children and that I am the father?

Can someone please clarify. Thank you.

How that document which shall confirm that you are the -Legal father-, has to look like,

or to sound like in his wording?

I would expect to be a form with a number on it printed out and signed/stamped by the Amphoe.

I always thought that there were Three ways too legitimize a father in Thailand...

Marry the mother

or

Younger child do at Thai family court

or

Older child do as you did present your family at the local Ampher office for interrogation.

Maybe now get the paper you got officially translated (too avoid confusion) and then notorized or certified by the local court or an attorney?

Just a normal Amphoe paper with their coat of arms? and stamped and signed it is.

I will try to let it translate in a more fitting style.

You right with your thoughts and I will look for a more official translation.

Its a small Amphoe, do not know if that official - not so young, should be experienced,

had ever done such a paper legalization before.

It would seem that is an acceptable document. Your description of it in the OP made is sound less than what you have described now.

Nobody in the Immigration office gave a statement, nobody seems to know how such wording should be?

To help to get a Non Immigrant -O- in Vientiane it was also worthless same as it was not accepted at the Thai Airport Don Mueang border.

Also I showed that paper, there they wanted to have birth certificates from all children. 7-13 young, all with my family name and most my given name in the Passport.

The solution is not to know, what kind of wrong wording or sentences I have, the solution is to get to know how the right sentences have to be. sounding. Have to include!

As far as I realize I cannot get that answer on Thaivisa com and not from Thai Immigration only a smile.
