Hi folks, I intend to fly on Kan Airlines on the Chiangmai/Hua Hin/Chiangmai route, has anyone flown this route before, is the airline reliable or are they in the habit of cancelling the flight at the last minute...understand they are using ATR'72 and not the cessna aircraft...thank you .wai2.gif

Flown the Hua Hin route several times and no complaints. I have a return flight for November which cost 990baht which has to be a steal. Kan have been flying ths route for more than 18 months without incident. Give hem a go and doubt you will be disappointed.

Kan are also flying once more to Utapao 3 times a week with one way fares as low as 990 baht.

Is that from Chiang Mai?

Am going to Pattaya in a while and was wondering who was flying in to there now that they have opened it up and how far to get in to Pattaya. Is there Taxi's there. Flew them into Mai ot a while back and no transportation in to town. Hired a fellow who was working there.

I just checked the 900 baht does not include tax and fees. Don't know what they are.

just flew to Chiang Mai and back from Hua Hin. Fabulous, comfortable seats with plenty of legroom. Decent meal and good service. A great flight.. It was so good that we have booked another flight early January. 900 bt each way. I'm not sure whether iit includes tax et cetera but it was very cheap perhaps a few extra baht. We avoided the long drive to to Bangkok and now we can get from our home to a hotel in Chiang Mai in about 3 1/2 hours. We are thinking of flying to Chiang Mai for medical treatment instead of the long drive to Bangkok..equally good specialists and hospitals in Chiang Mai at about half the price of Bangkok.

Yes Chiang Mai-Utapao 3 times a week.can't help on how to get into town as havn't flown this route.

I thought Kan Air prices were all inclusive but if you have just checked I guess they are not.

Flew Kan to Nan last month. Small plane, not enough headroom to stand up straight. I sat directly behind the European pilot which was fun. No toilet or flight attendants, but it's only an hour flight. Nan is gorgeous, though it could use some decent restaurants.

Love Kan Air vs really curt service on Air Asia...they were so friendly...everything ran smoothly on Mae Hong Son and Ubon Ratchathani...Hua Hin should be much the same.

Only thing to watch out for is they close their counter 45 minutes before the flight and not 30 minutes before like some other domestic carriers.
