stoneyboy
I believe you will need to use the Udon Thani immigration office.

KhunBENQ
Deep deep Isan 70 km north of our place. And its Udon Thani immigration. Not a lucky draw... E.g. annual retirement extension req. two visits. 30 day "under consideration" (even for retirement extension!). I read about only two offices which are not able (authorized?) to do retirement extension on the spot. Fortunately Udon is not too far and a recommendable excursion (for shopping etc.). Laceman1
Udon is only a short drive from Nong Bua. Just completed my third application from there. True, you get the one month under consideration, but it's an uncomplicated process and the IO staff have always been pleasant and helpful to me. As stated above, I use the two trips for shopping. chuckd
I live between Nong Bua Lamphu and Loei. Have used Udon Thani immigration since 2008 and am very satisfied with their service. The US Embassy has an outreach program two times annually when they are in Udon Thani so I don't even have to go to BKK to take care of US government related issues. It is nearly 200 kilometers round trip but is not anything that is unmanageable. The only problem with Udon Thani immigration is parking is at a premium near their office and can sometimes be a problem.
