Before medical at Bumrung/ nice shopping center/wheelchair

Featured Replies

Flying in from Chiang Mai to get a medical at Bumrungrad at 10 am next day. Wheelchair limits mobility, Will stay at Best Western next to Bum.

In the evening before medical would like to enjoy some Flair in a nearby shopping center.

Traffic around this area is insane. Will we get a taxi for only a short ride?

If not too cumbersome don´t want to stay in the hotel but don´t know how to organize it.

Any ideas?

Robinson's is not far from the hospital and has quite a nice selection of shops and a Tops supermarket

Taxis stop at Bumrungrad all the time. Also, if you want to pay a little extra you can take a Grab Taxi. There is usually one parked at the hospital. Alternatively, you can use the Grab Taxi website and order one. Robinsons is nearby. So also is Central Chidlom and Central Platinum (they're connected by a walkway.) Central is a little nicer in my opinion. Are you going to need the driver to put your chair in the trunk? If so, the taxi attendants can help you to get one that will do that. Good luck.

Both are helpful suggestions. Tell a country boy from the wilderness of the North how to tell a GRAB TAXI?

Also

Terminal 21 (smaller than Central/Paragon at BTS Siam, but good for an hour or two) - same as where Robinson is located, close to BTS Asoke - just a couple of km from Bumrungrad
