Australia versus Argentina. ..Rugby Union

Featured Replies

Does anyone know where I can watch the semi final of the Rugby Union in Chiang Mai?

Preferably on a large screen.

Thanks.

10pm tomorrow (Sunday) at the Downunder pub. Owner is an Aussie called Stuart. The pub is at the Ping River end of Loi Kroh road.

At 10 tonight is the other semi final. NZ vs SA. I expect Stu will be showing this too

so we gotta see if the Boks can throw a spanner in the works .... laugh.png

Well they can only but try....

Sorry but no.....I've got one of those new fangled android boxes and get to watch the live games from home. Which I tend to do when they are on late at night. Day games I tend to watch elsewhere....like at Stu's pub

Darn the yarpies are ahead at half time....I hate that. Come on the All Blacks. Change tempo and put some points on the board!

It's wasn't pretty but it's a win to the kiwis.......phew!

And I'll go on the record to say the first ABs try resulted from a forward pass.

Good luck to them - a win, is a win, is a win. And a side that doesn't cross the line doesn't deserve to win.

Looking forward to a trans Tasman final next week.

Is 10 pm the kick off or the start of the broadcast which is usually about one hour before?

10pm sharp is the kick off time. My bet is that the Wallabies will win tonight but it may not be pretty. The Pumas are a bunch of big lads and dont mind mixing it up in the rough. And like last night an upset could be in the wind.

Still it goes to show that Southern hemisphere rugger is the best. And its mostly quite a spectacle to watch, with the professional era the games are getting faster and skills are amazing.

The ABs however need to control their discipline and understand how the ref is going to run the officiating. Too many penalties which is of a concern.

The game is at 4pm UK time, 11pm in Thailand.

I am confused as I manage to cock up daylight saving every time but the Sydney papers are saying a 3 am start which, by my calculations, means an 11 pm kickoff.

England went back to standard time last night.

Clocks went back one hour.

So, 4pm kickoff in Twickenham is 3am in Australia, which is 11pm in Thailand.

I said 11pm and you agree, what's confusing about that?

I live in Mae Rim. To make the trip into town to watch late night or middle of the night sports is too much. We had a Kiwi-All Blacks fan staying with us and were able to watch it online at

Scroll down through the schedule and you will see the AUS-ARG game listed for tonight.

It worked perfectly, almost no buttering.

The witty Nigel Owens is in charge of the final - so look forward to a much more open and entertaining game.

I'm tipping the Aussies to win tonight, but only if they play cohesively - they lack enough strikers, so if Pocock, Hooper or Folau (was he ever missed in their last game, or what!) have an off night, the Pumas could create an upset. I don't care either way as both teams will be worthy opponents in the final. ABsolutely.

Thanks for the notification, I had cleanly forgot about daylight saving an all. Had I turned on the android box at 10 without knowing this then the box may have ended up in the bin!

I think Stu will still be open for it tho

It's a South Pacific final....Wallabies didn't look great but a win is a win. ABs coach will be happy with all the hits that occurred during this game. There will be some sore guys tomorrow.

My prediction for the final...ABs by 10

Result : AUS 29 - 15 ARG so it looks like Australia will be the World Cup champions ..... whistling.gif

^^^ Steven, the pills, mate. The pills.

A convincing display of toughness, but not the convincing teamwork that I had hoped for from Oz. They'll need to be much sharper and plug some of those gaps coz the ABs will be all over the place. Can't wait - ABs by 10.
