73-year-old German man falls from Pattaya condominium to death

PATTAYA:-- A 73-year-old German man fell from the eighth floor of a Pattaya condominium and was killed early Sunday, police said.

The tourist with no clothes on was identified as Alexander Mino.

He felled from the room No 440/137-138 of Viewtalay 3 Condominium on Soi Phra Tamnak 6 in Tambon Nong Plua of Chon Buri's Bang Lamung district.

Police checked his room and did not find any trace of theft. Police found a smashed mobile phone which has been apparently thrown to the floor.

Police believe the man might have talked to someone on the phone and thrown it to the floor before he jumped down from the room's balcony.

One could argue these guys rival Scotland Yard, in terms of sheer skill, the ability to peer directly through a crime scene, and perceive the truth hidden from view, and training. Damn. Such impressive crime scene work.

Certainly, a good percentage of these suicides are related to objective rational reasons of terminal illness, common enough in older people. It's a shame that the legal option of humane medical suicide isn't advancing in Thailand as it is in some other countries. Jumping is so aggressive, it does the job but it literally impacts on others who see the results.

I would put some pants on before taking the dive.

Somethings wrong.

Are you saying you suspect foul play because he wasn't wearing any britches?

Just curious but why exactly would you be sure to put on your pants before jumping seversl stories to your death?

Are you saying you are concerned the people walking by might be offended that you have gone out naked in public but not disturbed by the sight of your splattered body on the concrete?

German falls from 8th floor apartment at South Pattaya Condominium

jump-1.jpg?resize=610%2C393

PATTAYA: -- Police and medics were called to a Condominium in South Pattaya early on Sunday Morning to investigate the apparent suicide of a German resident.

At the ground level car park area was the body of Mr. Alexander Minor aged 73 who appears to have fallen from his 8th floor balcony. It is thought he first hit a parked Honda Civic and then bounced off onto the road next to the vehicle.

The body was first discovered by Khun Chaleuay aged 55, a Security Guard at the View Talay 3 Condominium in Soi 6 off the Pratamnuk Road. She was patrolling the perimeter of the complex when she heard a loud noise at the front of the building. She ran round and found the body of Mr. Minor and called the Police.

Dear me, a little empathy please.

They still sell at more than that, they have good locations.

Maybe the final call was to his banker or broker?

Going out naked as the day you came into the world is sort of a fitting end.

Hats off to the guy--he controlled his own destiny all the way to the end.

You say suicide was a good thing he did? Wow, your unbalanced then also.
