Blue Book Updated for Condo Owner in Pattaya

Featured Replies

I heard that if you are a condo owner in Pattaya and you want your name entered/registered into your blue book, one must go to Pattaya City Hall with all of the following:

1. Blue book

2. 1 year visa

3. Residence certificate from immigration showing address in Pattaya

4. Passport photo page translated by Ministry of Foreign Affairs

5. Official Document(such as birth certificate) showing name, surname, date of birth, father's name, mother's name translated into Thai guaranteed bu Institute of Translation.

6. 2 photos

7. 2 Thai witnesses with ID card and house paper

Is this true? Any alternatives?

You cannot have your name entered in the blue book , it stays blank, but you can get a yellow book.

Where and how do I get a yellow book in Pattaya?

The same place where you thought you could go to be entered in the blue book for your condo.

The documents you listed are for getting a yellow house book.

Why bother?

Recently did a retirement extension as owner. Phone bill accepted as usual.

If it's the case now in Pattaya, it's a lot of easier now than it was a few years back !

I abandoned the procedure in 2008 after several visits and a never ending list of required documents sad.png

BTW the "1 year visa" is a bit strange. Many people don't have and never had such visa.

me too, never ever found a use for one during last 15 years on a retirement visa. it does not entitle you to anything, in spite of what some people claim.

I just wanted to be a good foreigener living in Thailand on a retirement visa, complying with all the rules, regulations and laws.

Understood. But I think you've imagined a regulation that doesn't exist.

Where did you obtain the "retirement visa" ?
