Payao ready to welcome winter tourists

PAYAO, 27 October 2015 (NNT)-Tourism management in Payao is now underway to assure safety for tourists expected to visit tourist sites on a mountain top this coming winter.

Payao Governor Suphachai Iamsuwan has discussed with local authorities over maintenance works at two famous tourist spots: Boh 12 and Pha Hua Ruea hills, where tourists gather to watch the sun rising.

The works include erecting fences around the scenic points, and repairing roads and trails. It is said that Payao Lake, commonly known among locals as “Kwan Payao’ can be seen from these spots.

According to Payao Provincial Administrative Organization Mayor Worawit Boonsiri, the development plan will be implemented soon to accommodate winter tourists.

Both Boh 12 and Pha Hua Ruea are located only 10 kilometers away from Muang district. This year visitors have been asked not to discard trash during their trip to the two sites, which were so littered with garbage last year.
