Walmart seeks approval for drone delivery tests

606x341_315991.jpg

BENTONVILLE, AR: -- Walmart has joined Amazon and other smaller companies in asking regulators for permission to test drones for home deliveries in the US.

The world’s largest retailer by revenue, and the owner of Britain’s Asda stores, has been carrying out indoor tests for several months.

It also wants to use drones at its distribution centres and stores, perhaps carrying items from the shop to the car park.

By using drones to deliver groceries to customers, Walmart believes it could improve its efficiency – and help reverse a recent unprecedented decline in profits, one reason for which was an increase in online sales.

The first country to deliver beer at a music festival (a year or two ago) successfully using drones was South Africa -- no long que, GPS delivery. Customers were told "Stay put."

It went over very well.

Unfortunately, WalMart is one greedy little big company, paying workers low wages, long hours, and rotating schedules so they cannot get a second part time job (the McModel of American labor control). And they were just busted selling Chinese made goods and labeling them as Made in America

I simply do not trust them, and dread hearing the beating of the South Park Heart of WalMart in ASEAN....
