changing from retirement visa to work permit and back

Hi all,

Ive had an OA retirement for the last 5 years which is current to Feb 2016. I now have the chance to work for a university for a year - with them doing all the paperwork re work permit. My question is at the end of that time will I be able to shift back to OA visa?

I think you have been getting extension of stay at immigration not going to an embassy or consulate in your home country for a OA visa.

You will not have a problem getting an extension of stay based upon retirement after working but you may have to leave the country to get a non-o visa to apply for it.

Thanks ubonjoe, yes got my first OA in Oz years ago and since renewed at Chaeng Wattana. Next time Im at CWat I'll try to get this clarified.
