7 days extension of "O" multiple

Featured Replies

is there any way to extend the 90 days by 7 days? (O-visa is still valid until next year, but present 90 day stay will be up on 22nd Nov)

I am going through some medical procedures (minor surgery) and like to re-book my flight to the 30st, but realized that my present entry is valid to 22nd Nov.

would like to avoid a border run.

thanks

You can apply for the 7 day extension, pay 1900 baht and be given 7 days to leave the country.

if married to a Thai or have a Thai child you could apply for a 60 day extension to visit them.

thanks ubonjoe, that was quick.

by the way I made a mistake by saying "but present 30 day stay will be up on 22nd Nov)" . I meant 90 days stay of course.

It is says 90 days now.

An alternative to the 60-day extension to visit wife explained by Joe, might be a medical extension. If having the surgery at a major hospital, you could ask them to help you with this. The "7 days to leave the country" option looks unattractive to me as it leaves you a day short anyway.

Unless a Hospital Doctor certifies someone as being under active treatment and unable to travel an extension on medical grounds is unlikely.
