Traveling to Hanoi (Vietnam) to get my 6 month double entry visa.

Featured Replies

I went to Laos 6 months ago and got my got my 6 month double entry visa. I don't fancy that bus ride again so this time, I am going to go visit some friends in Hanoi and get it done there.

Has anyone done this before or do you have any tips for making the whole process easier?

Here is my check list so far. Am i missing something?

  • Passport photos
  • Passport with 3 blank pages
  • Photocopy of passport
  • Photocopy of flights.
  • $80 USD for Thai Visa
  • Visa for Vietnam

You have it covered. You asked for tips. Do your Vietnam visa letter of approval online. Good service. Not sure what you mean by photocopy of flights. You need a print out of your flights into Thailand and out.

Hey Jacksam,

That is the thing. I will have my flights for Bangkok to Hanoi and then Hanoi back to Bangkok. But I will not have any more flight info. When it is time to get the extra 2 months I will just get the bus to Cambodia like I usually do.

Where do you come from? People from some countries don't need visa to Vietnam and they have extended the list with some countries sins I was there.

Japan, South Korea, the Nordic Countries and sins July 2015 they added UK, Italy, Spain, Germany and France to the list.

Unfortunitly, I am not from any of those countries. Thanks for the info.

So, does anyone know if I need an out going flight from thailand to get a double entry. I was just going to do the cambodia trip after the first part of my visa expires.

OP , you have a problem. You most likely will need to show two flights into Thailand for double entry permit and at very least flight out for double entry tv.

Hanoi requires tickets out of the country for each entry. A low cost one way ticket to a nearby country would be accepted.

There is no requirement for return tickets to Thailand.

I made a Double entry TV in Hanoi at june this year. Showed them copies of in and out bound flights for both entries. No problems. Visa cost was 80USD only dollars accepted. Note that DE TV only valid 3 months. Good Luck
