I just picked up my new UK Passport today from Trendy VFS in Bangkok, my old passport has been clipped and is no longer valid. I asked for and received a pro forma document from VFS requesting the Thai Immigration to transfer my original visa to the now invalid passport. However, I have a few questions, most of it is straight forward name passport number etc. but towards the bottom of the document it asks for a few things about the VISA not the EXTENSION! and I am a bit unsure.

My passport that was cancelled today by Trendy VFS is already a replacement for my original passport that held the original entry visa - i.e. The passport cancelled today has a load of stamps that refer to my original visa, an Non O issued back in 2004, it details the previous passport that the original visa was issued, in my Case passport number, Beijing Non O, 2004 as the first entry.

What I am unsure of is the part of the form I need to fill in is the last part:

"Mr........... has indicated that He / She/ Entered Thailand on......... and He / She was issued with ...........Visa

The British Embassy would be most grateful if you would kindly stamp Mr / Mrs .........replacement passport with a replacement visa"

Do I need to fill in the original details of the very first Non O that I received back in 2004?

Confusing as it relates to two passports ago rather than my recently cancelled one which already has a load of stamps detailing the transfer from the 2004 passport to the cancelled one. \

The notes from the British Embassy outline that any incorrect info etc. will void the application!

Any help here would be appreciated.

Thanks

I would put your last entry into the country and non-o visa.

I don't think immigration pay that much attention to what is on the letter.

OP - have just checked the scanned copy I took of the letter which the Embassy provided me when I renewed my passport in 2013. In those days, the Embassy completed the proforma in manuscript themselves!

The letter merely stated that I had been issued with a Non-Immigrant visa. This did not result in any difficulties for me when I subsequently visited Immigration for the stamps transfer.

Unfortunately, as has already been pointed out, the British Embassy - in common with several posters on here - appear to be in considerable difficulty in distinguishing between a "visa" and an "extension of stay"!

OK, so if I fill in the form and simply put "issued with an Non O visa" should I put the original date of 2004 as when I originally entered Thailand on my first Non O, or should I put a date of my last re entry to Thailand? Badly worded and very confusing!

Sorry, I should have been clearer on this point in my previous posting. Yes, the date which the Embassy entered on the pro forma in my case was the actual latest date and not any of the dates I entered LOS within the lifetime of my original OA visa.
