Hi, my first 90 day report is due in two weeks. This will be one day BEFORE I move to a new address. Is it possible to notify immigration ( personal visit to office ) all on the same day ? What is the best thing to say so I don't have to make two trips. Thanks ...

So the nominal due date for the 90 day report is one day before your move?

You have a grace period of 7 days (6 day after) to do the report.

So why not go when the move is done and bring proof of address for the new home?

It will likely require TM30 from the new landlord plus copy of ID card and housebook from him/her.

Also you will have to fill a TM28 (notice of change of address).

This should be possible with one visit.

I assume you move within the same immigration office area?

90 day report is due 15 November and we are moving into new rented premises on 17 November. All within same suburb, so same immigration office. This is my first report to the local office as previously I returned to Australia and did the reports on the arrival card within the time frame allowed.

The TM30 is a form she landlady downloads from web yes ?

Isn't 90 day reporting the reporting of where you are living on that day? If so, why not do your 90 day on the date you mention and using the current address, and 90 days later do the reporting using the new address.

Because your supposed to notify a change of address within 24 hours to the local Police Station.

As the OP already has a reason to visit Immigration why not kill two birds with one stone.

immigration only have the address he put on a TM6.

It's always a good idea to visit Immigration for your first visit and get all your details entered on their database.

I see no problem doing it the day before he moves, or the day after.

OP you will need a copy of your landlords ID card and Tabian Baan, signed and contact number. TM47, TM28 and TM30 + supporting documents.

This is not a big issue unless you make it one! You open the can of worms and you will regret it in my opinion. Just go get your number and keep your mouth shut period. I have not been living in the same house for over five years. For you get your new 90 days.. take care of your move and it you want to open the can of worms do so on your next visit. Do not be so anal retentive.
