Hi all,

Today I posted my visa application form to Royal Thai Embassy London, on their website it says to send a postal order for the correct amount and £10 (cash) on top for the secure return of my passport, which I have done. I was just checking their website again to make sure everything was correct and I missed the part where it says to "kindly write my name and passport number on back of postal order", will this make a difference? Also I spoke to someone from my local post office who use to deal with all the visa applications and he said I shouldn't have sent the £10 cash because all embassies now don't accept cash or cheques by post ONLY postal orders. But it clearly states on their website the extra fee for for secure delivery of my passport must be paid in cash! Does anyone know if this is correct?

Many thanks.

Why don't you give them a call if you are worried? If it states send cash then you have sent what they have asked, i'm sure the Embassy will know more than a PO clerk

I have been trying to call them for months to ask them questions but either no one answers or when they do answer I can never get through to visa section. But just after posting this I thought I would try calling them again and I actually managed to talk to someone from the visa section and all is ok.

Thanks for your reply.

All embassies worldwide do not accept cash or cheques anymore it is postal order ONLY, I have just spoken to someone from visa section at Royal Thai Embassy London. It is only cash if you are applying in person.

When have you been calling them.

You have to call between 2 & 5 pm.

Yes you should put your details on the postal order. How else are they going to know who sent it

they will be processing more than just your application

It's ok now, I have spoken to visa section and explained that I forgot to put details on back of postal order, and she said that is fine we know who sent it because it is on the application form.
