So basically 2 months ago i went to Cambodia to activate my 2nd double entry on my tourist visa. This month i have to go to immigration to make 1 month extension.

1.Can i go on 9th November, since it says in passport i'm permitted to stay until 9th of november?

2.After that, next month i can make new double entry visa in Laos, right? (my passport is brand new,i have only 1 double entry visa on which i came to Thailand)

Thank you

  1. Yes you can apply on the 9th.

Probably not. A new multi entry tourist visa (METV) is being launched from Nov 13th and, although not yet confirmed, it looks like only single entry tourist visas and the METV will be available after that date.

1) Yes

2) see above, no more double. Whether METV will be available for visa runners from Thailand is not clear yet.

It might be worth considering skipping the extension and go get a double entry tourist visa in Laos while they are still available.

You gain nothing by leaving it until the last minute. Whenever you do it, you'll still get 30 days added onto your current permission. You don't lose days by doing it early. Of course at this point you're left to choose between Friday the 6th or Monday the 9th, both of which might be busier days at immigrations than if you had done it mid-week.

Regarding going to Laos to get a new double entry visa check the forum posts on here as they arent tn being issued anymore. If you leave and go to Laos you will only get a single entry visa.

Double entry tourist visas are still being issued until the 13th, so if he went before his permission to stay expires and applied on Monday/Tuesday/Wednesday it would be available. However, it's probably going to be a very busy few of days at the consulates in Vientiane/Savannakhet.
