Hello,

As I haven't met many Thai who use a tongue scraper I wonder what is your experience ?

I couldn't live without and I feel like people who don't use one are so dirty in their mouth !

Whatever a Thai wants to do with with me and her mouth I want her to use one first :-)

Am I psycho ?

Am I psycho ?

Yup.

Never used one of these torture devices myself, the one time I did try one it made me retch sad.png

Sooo, Health or Pub?

Health I think.

I had trouble finding one but eventually did at a pharmacy here. Based on how difficult it was to find I would guess they don't use them very much.

Every single supermarket has them...

I went to several supermarkets and none of them had any. But now with your valuable information, I can go to ANY supermarket, presumably anywhere in Thailand and one will magically appear.

Please tell me the OP is not serious, facepalm.gif

BTW, many toothbrushes have a tongue scraper on the flip side.

But I have a sneaking suspicion that the OP isn't serious.

Don't most toothbrushes have a scraper/brush on the back to clean the tongue?

Yes they do but they do almost nothing.

I'm not sure how coated your tongue gets, but other than using a wood rasp I would think the cleaner on the back of a toothbrush would cater to most peoples needs.

If you can't find a toothbrush in a supermarket, or even a seven eleven, that has a tongue cleaner on the back I suggest getting your eyes tested.

The thread title mentions nothing about a toothbrush with a tongue scraper. It refers to a tongue scraper itself. Just because you think a toothbrush with a tongue cleaner is good enough for the job doesn't change what I or the OP is referring to.

I run the angle grinder over mine, sure its not as long as it used to be but my target audience is diminishing with age.............

My wife is OCD about caring for her teeth, gums, mouth.....even though she didn't own a toothbrush until she was 14, she has all her teeth at 60+. Now she flosses several times a day along with frequent brushing.....and always, always, always scrapes her tongue clean with a vegetable knife.

Why wouldn't you just give it a scrub with the brush and a bit of extra paste? Make like a Maori and see how far back you can get without heaving. [i'm on the Chlorhexidine Digluconate mouthwash at the minute. Apparently if you use if for a couple of weeks you get a residual effect for ages].

just scrape it gainst your teeth and no need to buy anything, and it is more effective, too

And then you can swallow the residue and save money on dinner!

Amazing the theme of some threads on TVF

That comment is too distasteful to be even remotely amusing.

Simple reply: it does not work.

It seems that so many hre never used a tongue scraper, you should try and see all the shiiiite that you can clean.
