triffid
The owner was intending to move. I've just returned after three months away. Has she moved? If so can someone tell me, as precisely as possible, where her shop is located now?
ricklev
I was there a month ago and the shop was closed. I thought maybe it was temporary as it looked like there was still some stock inside.
elektrified
Saw a sign for it near Tesco Lotus Kamthieng, but not sure if it actually opened. Sign seemed to not point anywhere and a quick drive around the area, I couldn't find anything.
ricklev
They really made some changes to Baan Suan Pak that annoyed me. They got rid of all but one of the vegetarian stalls and they added a couple of TV's blaring out the worst of Thai TV that are never turned off. Oh well, things change they say. ricklev
Oops. My bad! I thought you meant Baan Suan Pi in Bangkok. http://www.happycow.net/reviews/baan-suan-pai-bangkok-28819
arjuna999
Hi Triffid, The new location is not far from the old, but maybe a tad more difficult to find. From outside the ring road, going South on the local road that follows along the west side of the Ping River, first cross (underneath) the ring road, and then continue straight a short ways along the road that follows the river. After crossing the ring road, take the third right turn, which has nothing to landmark it. On that road in a short ways on the left, you will see a big 9- or 10-storey U-shaped white building that used to be a hotel and is now apartments on the left. Just as that building ends, there is an intersection; take the right turn there. Baan Suan Pak is on the left side of this lane, about halfway up the block. The owner, although trustworthy and maintaining a very high standard of quality, is not a marketing person - there is no website and the map that was posted on the door of the now-closed older store was rough at best. Here is the Google Earth reading (18.809280º latitude, 99.000719º longitude), I am including a picture from Google Earth if that works ...
