If you have a multi entry visa no re-entry permit is required.

If you exit Thailand you will have to enter Cambodia before returning.

No sorry I meant I have a 1 yr visa not multi.

I'm not actually going into Cambodia, only the casino which is between the Thai/Cambodia border at Poipet.

So I won't need visa on arrival right?

Do you have an extension of stay from Jomtien Immigration? That is the one where you have to do 90 day reports and have money in the bank.

If so, then you need a Re-Entry Permit to keep your extension of stay alive if you want to cross into another country.

If you don't get one, you have to start the process with Immigration all over again.

What "one year visa?"

All one year VISAS are multi entry so what exactly do you have ?

^You'll need a Re-Entry Permit, the Thais will not let you cross into "No-Man's" land without you checking out from Thailand, so to be able to return, you need to Enter Cambodia, thus entering another country.

Thai's get away with it, because they can get a border pas.

So!

1.You do not have a Visa (an extension of stay is not a visa)

2. A re-entry permit will be required.

3. An entry/exit from Cambodia will be required before re-entry to Thailand will be permitted.

OK thanks, but do I need to have a visa on arrival or not? As I'm only going the casino at the border for 2 hours an then bac Thai side.

Yes you will need a Cambodian Visa.

When you come back to Thailand, just fill in the Re-Entry Permit Number in the Visa Number on the TM6 (form you get from the Thai Border Guys)

IMO, a lot of hassle just for 2 hours in a Casino, plus the additional cost like paying for the Cambodia Visa, Re-Entry permit etc etc.

But as they say "Up to U"
