Deputy PM: Rice pledging scheme case being treated fairly

BANGKOK, 12 November 2015 (NNT) – Deputy Prime Minister Wissanu Krea-ngam has affirmed that the government upholds fairness in handling the rice pledging scheme case, insisting that the issuance of an administrative order is to protect public interests.

Mr Wissanu gave explanations regarding the government’s proceeding with the rice pledging scheme case against former Prime Minister Yingluck Shinawatra, saying the case has not been filed with the Civil Court as it would have a statute of limitation. Instead, an administrative order will be issued to seize assets of the ex-premier as compensation for the losses incurred by the rice pledging program.

The Deputy Prime Minister said the method is deemed most appropriate as it would protect the interests of the general public. He also noted that the government has never disclosed the total cost of damage from rice pledging but has only hinted that there is a formula to calculate the figure based on factual data.

Mr Wissanu reiterated that the case is receiving fair treatment from the government and is being processed in compliance with the law, without any hidden political motives. Should Ms Yingluck feel that the use of an administrative order is unjust, he said she could ask the Administrative Court to revoke it.

Lets hope they actually bother to tell the court how much they would like to sue for then.......

Actually, the administrative order from which Yingluck will need to file a complaint against, states the amount of loss under the program, approx. 600 billion baht. I believe it is Yingluck and the PTP who have never provided any kind of accounting or audit for the scheme, and that is why the resolution for her impeachment was passed.

Depending which side you are on you would see either fairly or unfairly treatment, the facts speak for themselves as there was more than one involved in the decision process you could be forgiven into thinking that this is just a victimization of the Shinawatra family, you could also think that this case is the Junta pretending to be doing something ,when they are in reality doing nothing at all, or the Junta taking the easy way out , which ever way supporters look at this case the real culprit is the Junta for not carrying out a full investigation, then making a case , the Junta could be accused of putting the cart before the horse and paving the way for no reconciliation whatsoever with the PTP supporters of Thailand.........................................coffee1.gif

of course anything that shows the shins and the ptp/reds as being guilty of anything is a conspiracy, everyone knows they should have open slather to do anything they want without recrimination. They seem to forget they were put there for the betterment of all thais not just them and their relatives/mates. It would appear that they have a massive problem with the truth and facts being presented that show them up as criminal/negligent as charged which is something they have never had to deal with before as they simply shrugged it all of. Lets hope that the truth/facts nail their ars*s to the wall and that they actually have jail sentences and asset seizures heavy enough to bugger them up for life, they deserve it

I do not trust this bloke as far as I can throw him.... You think your a god at the moment although in 1 year you will be on the back bench where you should be,

No it is not fair you clown and you have no clue about democracy or respect for prior PM's disgraceful

If clues were shoes, you would be barefoot.

He should also have mentioned that the PTP government have NEVER disclosed the cost of the scheme nor have they produced transparent audited accounts which they should have done every year.

They would be some interesting figures to ponder over.
