Not sure if I'm on the right thread but can anyone recommend a good office in Bangkok to register a marriage? I am getting married next week - not sure where to do it.

Also I understand one needs a statutory declaration, spouses house papers, ID card, passport. Anything else I need?

Thanks for any advice.

You should also have two witness and a Thai speaker to translate for you if you do not understand Thai as what you declare and sign, in Thai, is a legal document. Ban Rak (district of love) is in the Patpong area of Bangkok and a favorite of both expats and Thai for marriage registrations. Believe if you speak English they can translate for you and provide the witness. Suspect you already know the document from Embassy has to be translated and registered with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
