Hello All

We have just moved to Phetchabun from Bangkok and was hoping I could still get the Same stuff in Tesco, Makro etc but seems I can't. Anyone know where I can get Western food ie sausages, bacon and other goodies we all like.

Thanks for your help

James

Makro is your best bet, but you have to look through the freezers to find it.

Other than that, there are mail order options, see passion-delivery on this website.

Also Topps in Phitsanoluk if you are travelling that way.

You will find English food in Phitsanolok also N/Sawan Makro their Cumberland sausages ++++ are fine Freezer department. Sorry to say that Topps doesn't sell anything vaguely resembling English stuff, used to but now nothing and what bit's you will find mustard etc are very overpriced.

If you go into you local Makro they will order things for you they have a vast assortment of western style goodies on their comp: you just have to ask. Only hope your Thai is up to it if not take the Wife.

Thanks fredob43 thumbsup.gif for that update, must admit I havnt been over to Topps for nearly a year as I only go that way for immigration purposes.

Good info re: Makro too, will have to remember to ask about products, I just assumed they would all be pretty much the same in terms of stock.

We do a great range of Sloane's sausages and UK and US bacon (it stays the same size after you have cooked it as it is NOT pumped full of additives or preservatives. Sloane's is famous in Bangkok for quality and the founder (Joe Sloane) used to work for Gordon Ramsay in London. More details about him can be found here... http://www.passiondelivery.com/collections/sloanes

In the meantime I'll leave you with some of sausage and bacon photos (and a few other steak and seafood photos for good measure!)

All can be ordered for nationwide delivery via our PassionBox service here. http://www.passiondelivery.com/collections/passionbox-dry-delivered-nationwide

Delivered within just 2-3 days from when you place your order.

Enjoy

Try this website: http://www.britsuperstore.com/uk/browse-by-section/sweet-and-savoury-spreads/marmite.html Sorry I couldn't help myself.

If it's American bacon cooked the way we like it and it doesn't shrink it's fake!!! Gordon Ramsey or no Gordon Ramsey! Actually I buy a lot from Passion and Joe Sloane but have never tried his bacon. I do have blood pudding and Boudin Noir in the freezer - yes an American with blood sausage.

All Makro differ stock wise all depends where they are also if they have a manager who know about western food (Most don't) saying that they all have the same goodies available you just have to make an effort get in there a clue them up.

Wayne your starting to worry me an American who eats black pudding whatever next. Don't tell me Thai food.

Phad Krapow nuu and Phad Krapow gohp, are local delicacies. What's the problem? Mix enough crushed chilli in Marmite and I might, I said might,

even eat that!
