geovalin
Sor Chandara and Ayanna Runcie Hotel and casino owners in Sihanoukville claim they have suffered immense losses and risk bankruptcy after Chinese investors, workers and tourists left the coastal city en masse following last month’s police arrest and extradition of 168 Chinese nationals accused of operating a transnational telecom extortion ring from the coastal city. On October 31, Cambodian immigration police working with Chinese Interpol agents raided a villa and a guesthouse in Sihanoukville, arresting 168 Chinese nationals accused of using an internet-based telephone system to extort money from victims back in China. The suspects were swiftly extradited on charter flights to China as part of a wider crackdown in Cambodia and Indonesia that netted 254 suspects involved in over 4,000 cases of telephone fraud. read more: http://www.phnompenhpost.com/business/chinese-leave-sihanoukville-en-masse-following-bust

ezzra
Honest people don't run away, those who left in a hurry knew what they were doing and that time is of the essence here, so who ever had to leave in a hurry, wasn't a tourist or ' an investor" they were crooks... ggt
Offer the Chinese free tours, flights, food and lodging, $50 credit card to 7/11 stores and allow dumping in the streets, sidewalks, and parks...this should bring them back to Cambodia...if Thailand does not up the anti and offer them free massages and short times... Chinese tourists are in demand...they appear to be the only country where the people do not recognize they are headed for bankruptcy...
