Min of Education to launch training to improve English teachers

BANGKOK, 18 November 2015 (NNT) – The Ministry of Education has planned to launch a training course for English teachers to sharpen their skills, who will in turn inspire students to improve their English language proficiency.

Citylife Garden Fair ’15 (Chiang Mai) 21st November

Over the past ten years our Citylife Garden Fair has grown up, evolved, and simply grown into a pretty incredible annual event which, according to JJ Hobby Market, attracted over 5,000 people last year, raising nearly 220,000 baht for two local charities in 2014. The fair is now way bigger than our small staff can handle, and thankfully we have been supported by a team of dedicated volunteers, who are promising to make this year’s event the biggest and best yet.

Lampang opens school for elderly

LAMPANG, 18 November 2015 (NNT) – The public and the private sectors in Lampang have jointly opened the first school for the elderly in the province.


Wat Si Luang School for the Elderly is the result of integrated efforts by different organizations which aims to enhance the living quality of the elderly. The school offers various activities such as occupational training, healthcare and social education. The opening ceremony was chaired by Lampang deputy Governor Somchai Kamoltheptewin. More than 150 administrative officials and residents partook in the event.

The project is expected to enable aged people to keep pace with social changes which will reduce the gaps between themselves and younger family members, to offer them the opportunity to try their hand at a new occupation, and raise awareness of their ability to help others in their community.

The class is held on Tuesday of each from now until 8th March of next year. Fifty-five people have registered for the program so far.
