I love Ale, but the sad thing it is a hard to come by commodity in the LOS, Killkenny does help but it isn't the real thing is it.

I am just wondering, what are folks preferences, are you a pissy girly lager drinker or a butch manly Ale man?

Got to be a Pommie !! :o

A bit of a Pommy myself... But for me the weather just isn't suited to drinking Ale - Its a little on the heavy side. Besides, nothing beats an Ice Cold Chang!

lager

does that mean im a shandy drinking southerner,

actually prefer a good whiskey. (not the bourbon stuff)

Sad to admit- switched to Bitter. (less bloated) :o

Lager or Ale, 2 choices.

I come from a country where we have a few hundred different beers and I like most types, lager and ale and ...

And this is probably what I miss most from my "home" country, the variety of beers,... :o

Course Snakebites are good if you can find a pub these days that will serve them. Some daft reason they think they will drive you mental. :o

A picture tells a thousand words.

Close second.

Jeez, Australian beer, in a CAN,... :o

I like a good LAGER,not to swift on ALE,

And some things I do not understand, BITTER,,POMMY, and why would anyone want a snake bite,,sounds zingy to me. :o

I'm with you on that one Bluecat (minus the lager bit!) - if only one could nip down the offie and get 8 different bottles of "4 for a fiver special" on real ales and a good curry down the Indian, before going out on the town for a major sesh with the lads, eh? Are we talking about the same country I wonder?

Having the incredible choice between Sing, Chang, Leo and Heineken is not what the "free market" is really about. Funny how the whisky market is more liberalised than the beer market. Another case of Amazing One. :D

We're not but beer lovers have no frontiers,... :o:D:D

I used to drink Beer/Lager/Cider by the shedload, then I discovered wine......

Next episode to follow soon....................... :o

chonabot- ahh straight wine tis evil stuff. Does me head in quicker than a Thai Vendor in a beer bar! :o

A picture tells a thousand words.

By the way, Tizme.

Who is the handsum man on the picture? :o

i would love a bigger beer selection, i liked carlsberg, now singha or draught chang will have to do. ho hum!

Mmmm Kronenburg would be nice to have available too!

Nice jug of Stella or even Lowenbrau.... :o

Nice jug of Stella

Stella is not my favourite, but getting close,...

Dunno Stella is a bit off to me, only fancied it for some reason in Belgium.

Dirty big pint of Guinness for me,

None of this chilled stuff, luke warm and thick like soup, mmmm...

Chang, Ice and whole heap of Kung/Bpoo is the order of the day, actually the order of every day!!!

Being an Aussie I have no idea what an "ale" even is... :o

Ale only tastes good in a cold climate. Don't you remember those hot summers when we only drank Lager. That's why it's lager in Thailand. Who ever drank Balck Tiger ?

Your loss,... :D

beer is beer, when you find one you like...stick to it.

by the way...I could do with an emu, how 'bout you?

Australian, Australian, so easily pleased,...

No wonder so many of you are in Thailand. :o

I could do with an emu, how 'bout you?

By the way, is the emu australian or new zealander,... :o

Good "SPY" not bad on a warm day either! :o

Who ever drank Balck Tiger ?

Balckans perchance? :o

Millers Draught is a good beer and even Fosters (brewed outside Aus), is a great lager - I think you might find the good old Aussie beer is some of the best in the world :o . Keep your Ale fisherman, its like a meal, 2 beers and your full.

West End Draught is Australias best beer. :D
