Featured Replies

Hey I just found Moose apple cider at Big C for the first time , it wasn't bad at all.

I'm not a cider expert but why pay 200 baht for import when Siam winery offer this excellent quality for only 49 baht ?

which big C was that at ? i have had 10cases on order for over 10weeks,agent wont answer the phone and siam winery wont respond either.
Big C , S-Pattaya, they had plenty in stock yesterday.

thanks balo, the wife at last has rattled someone's cage as she got a call from someone with authority and they ruffled some feathers.

so its on the way,in the meantime she goes into big C today for what stock they have.

happiness is a drink called MOOSE.

Main Supercheap in Phuket have stocks of Moose

yrs ago i sent an email to thai beverage telling them that there is an oppotunity for thailand to brew its own cider as it had hit china in a big way.

it fell on deaf ears.again i got intouch with CHANG brewers who also wernt interested.

well mr.red bull has taken up the challenge and at a decent price i am certain the tourists spots will give it the thumbs up.

you cant compare thatchers or john kepplers but the moose is less than half price and not bad on the palette either.

I saw Moose for the first time in Big C Buriram yesterday 49 baht for 330ml bottle. bought half a dozen to test it.

Should be cold enough by tonight to drink. I'm also quite partial to cider mixed with Chang so I'll see how that turns out.

Thatchers or Kepplers or Strongbow or Black Rat mixed with Chang also make a pretty good snakebite

I've just sampled a couple of bottles of Moose and was pleasantly surprised by it's taste. I'll certainly be buying more. The only drawback that I can think of is that is toooo easy to drink. LOL

our big C keeps running out of it so it must be selling well

How would you categorise Moose cider....sweet / dry or what? My mate reckons it's sweet, but to me Woodpecker & Magners are sweet and Moose is more dry than sweet. Comments?

being a cider drinker for over 60yrs.bulmers was the only mass produced in the early 60's other than scrumpy. i did try bulmers back about 15yrs. ago sweet and awfull, the same with magners, strongbow on draft wasnt too bad,but once i got to tasteing thatchers and scrump jack every other where tooooooooo sweet.

as for moose dry, slightly bitter, the same as john kepplers. but very easy on the pocket.

the other brew thats come on the thai market is somersby very very sweet,i cant believe that carlsburg brew this.[womens drink] i tried a few cases but had to combat the sweetness with some pure lime jus.

Scrumpy Jack was my fave in the UK

I agree, Moose is a bit sweet and dry . A perfect combination.

Aspals is the best imo,the 7% one anyway

I'm not bothered about ABV,,,,,,if I want to get out of my tree i'll drink 2-3 bottles of Lao Khao....I drink beer/lager/cider/stout because I like the taste

Lol, 1st time I saw this in Tesco Lotus (presume all tescos nationwide?) Yep 49 baht for a 330ml bottle and to be honest I quite like it.

Put in freezer for @35 mins and just right ....tis a dry cider and for the money here in LOS its a bargain. However, being a UK Somerset boy, well for many years there, it still isn't on par with what you get there ...but beggars can't be choosers and at this price tyvm for having it on the Tesco shelf.

Yeah I see Big C from this thread has had it for a while but I refuse to set foot in the farmers market ....sorry lol.
