Russia says Turkey 'shot down plane for IS oil'

PARIS: -- Russia has accused Turkey of shooting down its warplane near the border with Syria in order to protect its oil trade with the Islamic State (IS) group.

Speaking at international talks on climate change in Paris, Russian President Vladimir Putin called the downing of the plane a "huge mistake".

Turkey has denied any ties to IS and is part of a US-led coalition carrying out air strikes against the militant group.

This Putin guy is sure fanning the fires of hate and animosity, not sure what his end's game target?

Turkey absolutely was working with IS, to help get rid of Assad. They now seem to have changed track.

Turkey has plans to “act militarily” against Islamic State (formerly ISIS/ISIL) in the coming days, the country's foreign minister says. It comes amid speculation that the jihadists are partly behind last month's Ankara bombings that killed 102 people.

Assad is not a Sunni, he's Shia. Saudi Arabia is against him, as is Turkey. Saudi Arabia is Sunni. Iran is Assad's biggest backer and they are Shia's. A lot of this mess is due to the infighting between these religions. Sadly.

"Turkey to ‘act militarily’ against ISIS in coming days – foreign minister"

This is a very old news.

Did you notice that it was published on the 5th of November?

What has changed since that time? Is Turkey ‘acting militarily’ against ISIS?

I don't think so.

Turkey continues to support ISIS, supplying it with arms and buying oil from ISIS.

Believe what you want, but alliances change. Turkey is now against ISIS, as is the coalition. Now....

This Putin guy is sure fanning the fires of hate and animosity, not sure what his end's game target?

His end game is to expose those who are funding these so-called terrorist groups; Putin rocks!

Putin Putin he's the MAN.

Makes sense, turkey are more worried about the kurds than fighting isis. So covertly funding isis to fight the kurds by buying oil from isis is a v v cheap way of keeping their kurdish issue tied up.
