I have a British passport and arrived in Thailand at Suwanamhumi and got a 30 day stamp. The stamp runs out on the 7th which is a holiday so I am going to Jomtiem immigration on the 8th the do a 30 day extension. My question is I am staying at a guest house, do I need anything from the guest house to show I am staying there. I did ask in reception but just got a blank look when I asked.

Don't go on the 8th as you will be on overstay, and you DO NOT lose days by going early.

What you need is a completed TM7 application form, copies of passport photo page, entry stamp and TM6 departure card.

Why don't you go to immigration today, tomorrow or Friday.to apply for your extension. You loose no days by doing it early since it will start at the end of current permit to stay.

If the guest house reported your presence you should only need a receipt for the room to prove your address. It not they may want a TM30 form from them.
