gerry1011
Like in other countries, the danger is within Thailand. Paris did not need foreign extremists to slaughter 130 people. There are thai sympathizers of IS too. Within the country. This image is in Thai and was posted on Facebook by a young Thai (whom I know the father). And it says that "Islam will occupy the world very soon"... Soon all countries will have to deal with the enemy within. More than enemies entering the country from abroad. But I believe that the Thai government already knows that. Let's hope. Or at least I hope that they will soon see this image. It may make them understand that... it is probably already too late to avoid future troubles. Edited December 5, 2015 by gerry1011
JoeLing
I reckon if they are in Thailand, they must be hiding in those illegal gambling dens the police never finds ;-)

silent
What to say? How about it's encouraging that the terrorists aren't blatant about being obvious yet, or the same as I say to my wife? There's not much we can do about how stupid people can be thinking they know all they need to. Edited December 5, 2015 by silent

chainarong
The major question , did Thai secret intelligence know that Russian operatives were watching ISIS go to Thailand , what are the Russians doing in Thailand as they state ISIS militants went off in separate pairs to tourist centres ,were the Russians spying on their own Expats or on holiday , did the US or its allies supply information about ISIS in Thailand , the important fact is if there is ISIS in Thailand it would prudent of the Junta to advise all in sundry of their presence , to pretend they are not in the country and Tourists do get killed or injured , you'll see a massive exit out of Thailand. None of these questions will be answered and it is possibly an elaborate hoax, however the ball is in Thailand's court....................................... Alwyn
Awesomely quick work! Question. Since his boss only knew about the leaked secret document sent by Russia maybe 2 days ago, how could you clear a country of all possible IS operators in a day? Laughing this off may not go well for the government. Question. Does anyone believe any government spokesman anymore (if one ever did)? They're famous for being so quick! Look how quickly they caught brought to trial the 2 Burmese lads and with no ecidence!!! They gave themselves rewards even more quickly too.... gandalf12
Like IS have big signs that says they are IS? Come on give us a break. There again, if the police in Phuket put out a message for IS members to turn themselves in to the police and no one turned up then it can only mean one thing; there is no IS in Thailand

Khun Paul
Let me get this straight 1 The PM stated quite publically there were no IS in Thailand. 2. leaked Document alleging IS have arrived (10 ) 3 Russian Consul in Phuket stated he warned the Thai police and others when he knew. 4 Everyone knew in October but seemed to neglect to tell anyone, we are NOW in DECEMBER 5 2 days after a media announcement the Royal Thai Police categorically state NO IS in Thailand So we can therefore assume they have checked the credentials of every Muslim arriving in Thailand and those who currently reside here, ensured none of them are up to no good and all premises so habited by them all have been checked for explosives and other equipment designed to maim or kill. If not then that latest statement is so much BS !!!
gemguy
Famous last words ....until ..Boom. They would be better off to publically announce: "The Royal Thai police will continue to take the necessary measures to ensure the safety of the citizens and foreign nationals alike while any cooperation and information from the public concerning ISIS issues will be taken seriously and dealt with accordingly" Cheers

Yes sir....and that is how they commonly handle important matters in Thailand while their personal agendas commonly supersede the national agendas while they always claim they will deal with the issues ( Which they usually do.....sooner or later ) ......but usually at a leisurely pace relative to their personal agenda that supersedes national matters of grave importance. The usual format. Cheers
Transporter
Trouble is the RTP are too used to Thai crooks going on the run and then getting fed up and turning themselves in. I dont think ISIS plan on doing that which is fortunate as they would probably be wearing hidden explosives in their Y fronts as usual. The first and last sight of their whereabouts is likely to be known at the same time and all thanks to letting them past border control somewhere.
