What't the point of those Yamaha bikes with 2 front wheels, are they for handicapped?

I'm looking around for a new/used bike and came accross this weird thing with 2 front wheels, I wonder why they make this, maybe for handicapped/elderly/DELETED or does it have any serious driving benefits or is it just for 'show' and nothing else??
