What Is "kor Sor Nor Programs" On Ubc?

Just checking out UBC satellite TV options and there is an option

** For DStv subscribers who prefer additional point installation with LNB TWIN equipments for viewing Kor Sor Nor programs and UBC programs at the same time.

What is "Kor Sor Nor"?

Google suggest this is something to do with people leaving school early, but I fail to see the connection to satellite TV...

I think it is the "distance learning TV" programming (dltv)

Not of much use for your average UBC subscriber, they are even FTA (free to air, they are viewable even without the UBC card inserted)

Reason for needing a second dish to receive these channels simultaniously with the normal programming is that they are on a different polarization then all the other channels.

The LNB (receiving head on the dish) can only receive one polarization at a time,either horizontal or vertical...
