Phuket farmers join nationwide protest against GMOs

Police hunt Patong jet-ski thug for 'fake gun' intimidation

PHUKET: Police are looking for a Patong Beach jet-ski operator who allegedly pulled out a gun and threatened at least one other rival jet-ski operator during a heated argument on the beach yesterday (Dec 10).

Controversial US diplomat to return

BANGKOK: THE US diplomat who criticised the coup and lack of democracy during a visit in Thailand early this year will return to Bangkok next week to co-chair a bilateral strategic dialogue. Daniel Russel, assistant secretary for East Asian and Pacific Affairs at the US State Department, will be at the 5th US-Thai Strategic Dialogue on Wednesday.

Toshiba denies reports it is quitting TV manufacturing

Japan's ANA aims for the sky with new routes

Taliban claims car bomb attack near Spanish embassy in Kabul

A guest house in the Spanish embassy compound in the Afghan capital Kabul has been struck by a car bomb. The Taliban claimed responsibility for the attack on what it called the “invaders”, which security forces say involves at least three insurgents.
