Bangkok Airways flight delayed following bomb hoax

BANGKOK: A foreign passenger was arrested after he made a bomb hoax abroad a Bangkok Airways flight heading from Suvarnabhumi International Airport to Koh Samui, causing the flight to be delayed for over five hours.

The PG145 flight was supposed to take off at 2 pm but the passenger in question had quarrel with another foreign passenger and claimed that there was a bomb on board.

His statement prompted the pilot to abroad the take-off while the plane was on the taxiway, Sirote Duangrat, director of the Suvarnabhumi airport, said.

The plane was taxied to an isolate parking for authorities to check all luggage but no bomb was found.

The flight continued to Koh Samui at 7:30 pm.

The passenger should be banned from every airline for life for making up rubbish like this. Let them walk / swim to the next destination.

I feel sorry for the womenfolk who have to abroad their takeoff!!!

Another useless prick we can do without !

Agreed with lee b: banned for life from all airlines and a seriously heavy fine!

Inexcusably moronic behaviour.

I suggest that he be given a one month jail sentence AFTER he has personally paid the cost of the delays and extra work involved in aborting the take off, unloading the pax, re-allocating them on the next available flight, all the security involved in unloading and checking all of the baggage, refuelling the aircraft, possibly for a replacement crew if they had run out of hours.

Of course if he doesn't have the money for all that then lock him up until he gets it.

When he eventually pays the bill and gets out of jail then deport him and blacklist him from returning to Thailand permanently. He should be escorted to the flight and handcuffed to the seat all the way home.

Not much info in this article. Such shoddy journalism, again.

Pesky foreigner

Time to round up all the Burmese!!! blink.png

Charge this jerk at least 300 baht to give to every other passenger aboard that flight before sending him off to jail and then deport

him from Thailand for life. Bomb threats cost all airlines way too much to just arrest and slap these people on

the wrist for their offences. Of course I like a free drink when I can get one, so this looks like a good way to

get one in this case.
