paulinbkk111
Hi TVers, The registration/yearly fees paper fell off my bike, and now I only have the licence place. I have already been pulled over and had to pay 500bht compensation for not having it visible... So how do I get a replacement one? I went to a Honda shop that said I need a police report, and to go to a few places around town. The company I bought from said I need to send it them and they keep it a few days. Anyone in Bangkok actually had a replacement one? What was the process?
hkt83100
The Honda shop is right. Go to a police station and file a report about the lost sticker. Take this report and preferably the little leaflet of your insurance (P.R.B.), and your registration green book to the Land Transportation Office where your bike is registered and apply for a new sticker. This process is painless and does not take long. In Phuket it takes about 20 minutes on the office... This is a standard procedure. Next time don't use one of those fancy holders for the sticker, just tape it to a reasonable place on your bike.
KhunBENQ
Definitely at the DLT, where else. those fancy holders for the sticker, The "glass drum" type thoroughly attached to/with one of the screws on the bodywork will do fine. The "happy cord" is not mandatory for farangs Edited December 12, 2015 by KhunBENQ
papa al
Tax 'disk'; insurance; copy green book pages; copy passport\visa. Zip-lock bad under seat. Those little cylinders make me laugh.
kiniyow
Better to be Safe Under the seat then out in the elements to get lost or stolen
KhunBENQ
Under the seat? A good method to be stopped more often. Its not a highly valuable irreplaceable thing.
hkt83100
Better to be Safe Under the seat then out in the elements to get lost or stolen The Bib tried to fine me for the sticker under the seat once. My excuse was a fictive story about a stolen sticker and boring paperwork to get it back and blah-blah. It took me about ten minutes of talking until they let me go. KhunBENQ
Exactly what I expected. The sticker has to be visible from outside. What can happen if you park your motorcycle on a public street or area? BiB walks by, no sticker at all? No idea what is so funny about the little cylinder Maybe someone can enlighten me.
