Is there and what is the minimum salary requirement for US workers and can anyone tell me what the Thai income tax is on it, monthly, approx, single, no dependents.

Additionally am seeking info on how much monthly social security payment would be.

There is no minimum salary requirement.

I am inquiring as I would wish to qualify for 1 year extensions from immigration.

To apply for a one year extension of stay based upon working under clause 2.1 of the police order is 50k baht. For teaching there is no minimum salary.

Thai social security is about 750 baht a month if I recall correctly.

Teachers are exempt from minimum salary when applying for extension of stay.

Thank you for these answers, Let me clarify this is not a teaching position but I could work the wording to be so if needed.

1 ) So any salary is OK, say 20,000/ month and will get a Work Permit?

BUT I will have to do 90 day border stamp runs and a new B every year ( plus working around the 8 month validity on WP requirement)

OR

2 ) Receive 50,000 baht a month if I want 1 year extensions ?

What salary you need for your WP is up to your labour office.

Here on Samui they will not issue WP if you don't have 30.000 baht /month.
