I lived in a ski resort (Sun Valley Idaho, USA) before I came to Thailand and Xmas was a big deal there. All the rich people would show up to the houses they used two weeks of the year and Xmas was magical. Huge parties, the whole town decorated, free mulled wine and a show at the ice skating rink by former world champion skaters on Xmas day. Enchanting to walk through the town at night with all the lights and the decorations. On Xmas Eve the ski instructors would ski down the mountain holding torches so it looked like fire coming down the hill. So...yeah, I miss a snowy Xmas. It was a special time. This year was spent in Krabi and they put on a show at their Walking Street. Pretty girls in Santa hats, street food, beer and shirt sleeves.
