Copy of passport, visa, work permit 2. Sales contract 3. Dose he also need a Residence Certificate ? Or any other docs ? PS: We are not sure if the guy will use current plate or Chianmai plate yet. ehs818 Posted January 1, 2016 Share Posted January 1, 2016 Only a farang BUYER needs a Residence Certificate. The seller does not. He only needs a signed copy of his passport. A Bill of Sale may also be needed. But if both people go to the Dept of Land Transport to change title, they will confirm whatever else may be needed. Just to set the record straight: BOTH seller and buyer are required to have a Work Permit OR Residence Certificate if they are not a Thai National.
