if they truly wanted to stop people from jumping bail a great first step might be to cancel that persons passport as a condition of bail. If they don't even bother to do that then why bother with all the other laws you have no intention of enforcing.

What about 3/4 of the Thais who do not pay the speeding, reckless driving and parking fines in Thailand. The get a ticket and tear it up and through it away and never pay it and no action taken. Wonder why the roads safety is so bad in Thailand!
