BANGKOK, 30 December 2015 (NNT) - Prime Minister Gen Prayut Chan-o-cha said he was pleased that all product fairs that were held at Khlong Phadung Krung Kasem were successful.

The Prime Minister presided celebrations for the first-year anniversary of the floating market, saying Khlong Phadung Krung Kasem is a venue for manufacturers and consumers to meet. Operators of small and medium enterprises (SMEs) can also learn to adapt to the current economy from business veterans.

It is the government’s policy to keep businesses alive, either through economic measures or a two-way communication approach. The premier stressed that it is important for the government to strengthen the nation in all areas before the new government is elected.

He added that every penny spent must be worthwhile. The Bangkok Metropolitan Administration (BMA) has been instructed by the Prime Minister to look for a new location to hold similar events and make the landscape around Khlong Phadung Krungkasem more attractive to visitors.

General Prayut also presented certificates to business owners and state agencies that helped make the product fairs a success. Among the certificate recipients was Director-General of the Public Relations Department Apinan Juntarangsri. A total of 13 events have been organized over the year. They have generated more than 900 million baht in revenue.
