NORTH PATTAYA -- Pattaya One reporters were made aware of security camera footage posted on Facebook from a shop in North Pattaya, which showed a woman, presumably Thai, steal money from behind a counter as the shop owner was distracted by another customer.

The store is located in Soi Potisan in Naklua and on Thursday we met with the owner, Khun Manop aged 38 who showed us the footage in its entirety. The incident occurred at 9am on 30th December and Khun Manop revealed how the woman entered the store and spent more than 5 minutes looking around as if she was going to make a purchase.

Then, another customer arrived and Khun Manop met him at the front of the store. At the same time the woman was seen on camera to make her way to the rear of the store and take money from the counter.

"which showed a woman, presumably Thai, steal money "

Wow - I thought the presumption was always that no Thai would do a bad thing, so the thief would be a foreigner until proven otherwise.....

I feel sorry for this gentleman 8,000 baht is quite a sum to lose this is always a problem when you have a shop your eyes have to be everywhere better to have a till that only you can open that way your money is fairly safe.
