phiti
My Filipina colleague has just realised that her parents Non O visa, which they got as her dependants expired on 1st January, however her Non B visa extension is valid until 31st March. She is now unsure as to what to do as they are now on overstay. Does she take them to Immigration, pay the fine and get an extension in line with hers or do they need to leave the country, pay the fine and get a new visa? Thanks in advance for any helpful information.
lopburi3
If they visit immigration today an extension should be available as has been closed since expiration of legal stay.
ubonjoe
Her parents can get an extension as her dependents at immigration if they are 50.or over. If not they would have to go out for new visas. If they were able to go to today to apply for the extension they would not be charged an overstay fine. If not 50 or over the longest extension they could apply for is 7 days.
