BANGKOK, 4 January 2016 - The Prime Minister met with the Maldivian President, before chairing a meeting to develop the government's information management.

President of the Maldives Abdulla Yaameen Abdul Gayyoom paid a a courtesy call on Prime Minister Gen Prayut Chan-o-cha at Thai Khu Fah Building of Government House. The meeting was intended to expand bilateral cooperation and affirm good relations between the two countries.

Afterwards, Gen Prayut met with the board of the Poh Teck Tung Foundation, which gave the Prime Minister a gift on the occasion of Children's Day 2016.

The premier was later scheduled to chair a meeting of a committee tasked with integrating the government's databases, to be held in Santi Maitree Building. The meeting aims to support ministerial- and executive-level management, as well as the study and analysis of information to be used by the Prime Minister Operation Center.

Bravo Prime Minister. clap2.gif

The Maldives, joining the long list of major world players allied to Thailand. Countries like Antigua & Barbuda, Comoros, Dominican Republic, Gabon, Kiribati, Nauru and Vanuatu. Of course larger countries like Ghana, Cameroon & Central African Republic are also significant forces that recognize Thailand's standing and contribution to world peace and economic strength.

Extra time will be allocated for those trying to locate these nations on a map.whistling.gif

Has he been to Nauru yet?

He is mixing with the big boys of the world now.

Probably giving out advice on democratic principles to those who practice it and don't see the need to preach.

It almost makes you wish for Trump to win the U.S. Presidency just for the entertainment value of him dealing with any bullsh@t in a meeting between him and Prayut

He does seem very comfortable meeting the leaders of insignificant countries who also don't possess submarines and in most cases, don't even have any military. Maybe he feels safe.

Naria refused to engage

Do they HAVE to report every person he can get to agree a meet ?

Ok dont answer, purely rhetorical comment.

Just waiting for tomorrows headline of TAT expects Maldivian tourism up 1000% fold this year etc etc coffee1.gif
