PATTAYA: -- Late on Monday Night a 36-year-old disabled woman reported the theft of her motorbike at knife-point.

The incident occurred as the victim was driving to see her Sister in Soi Arunothai, after finishing work at her place of work. As she drove past the Full Love Inn in Soi Bongkot, two men on a motorbike drove up beside her and the passenger produced a knife and ordered her to pull-over.

The victim complied and her bike was stolen. Due to her limited mobility she could not immediately summon assistance and waited for her Sister to arrive who took her to Pattaya Police Station.

It's a bit much when a disabled person cannot ride home in safety.

I hope they deal severely with these a*holes when they catch them

There are some low-lifes in this world.

Yes indeed and god would I love to see some Saudi or Marrocan justice here if they catch them !!

(to cut off their hands)

Weird article, it says at the end :

"Curiously senior Police Officers at Pattaya Police Station attempted to block the story from being published by the local media and claimed this was a major case which first required input by more senior officers."

Over the last 2 years, A number of women bike riders have been attacked, robbed and some raped in Pattaya. Some are known to be by the same culprit based on photo-fits of the attacker, and about 9 months ago the police were under a lot pressure to solve the case, which to my knowledge they haven't yet done.

It could be that they wanted to make sure this case was unrelated before letting the media have it.

I think the police should release one of the impounded bikes they have and make a donation of it to her so she can get to work . Or better still give her the bike that belongs to the perp, should they ever catch.
