January 8, 201610 yr err.. this is the current state of the ship: I don't think anyone has said it will sail again in a few months. The owners and the shipyard are opposed in a legal battle, and yesterday the court of appeals in Rennes ordered the owners to remove the ship from the shipyard within 30 days. The owners, "Equipe Cousteau" Foundation president Francine Cousteau, just said the ship will leave Concarneau for Genoa in Italy. I don't think the Piriou shipyard will do any more work on the wreck and that the Calypso will reach Genoa, if ever, by road.
