Ferrys From Koh Samui To Koh Pha Ngan

Featured Replies

We will be arriving in Samui by air early in the morning on Jan 8. & want to go to Thong Sala on Koh Pha Ngan the same day. Two years ago there used to be a slow boat from Fisherman's Village in Bhoput (which is close to the airport) to Thong Sala around 11:00 in the morning. I can't find any mention of it online, only a boat from there to Haad Rin. Does anyone know if this boat still runs to Thong Sala from Bhoput, or do we have to go to Na Thon to get to get a boat to Thong Sala? How about from Mae Nam to Thong Sala? Price?

Seatrans runs a fairly fast boat out of Big Buddha to Thong Sala, cost -sorry, not sure but around 250 baht- and leaves at 8 am and 12 noon, I believe.

The Lomprayah Catamaran also runs to Thong Sala but from Mae Nam I believe and runs at 8am and 12 noon. Cost is 300 baht but you can book online lomprayah.com for 250.

From Nathon it is the every popular Songserm :o which leaves around 11 am and 4pm.

That slow boat is still running but, frankly, you couldn't pay me to ride in that old thing!

Thanks very much for the info! Seatrans from Big Buddha sounds like it is the right time & location for us.
