Princess Siriwanwaree celebrates 29th birthday anniversary

BANGKOK: Her Royal Highness Princess Siriwanwaree, the youngest daughter of His Royal Highness Crown Prince Maha Vajiralongkorn, performed a merit making ceremony on Friday (Jan 8) to celebrate her 29th birthday.

National News Bureau of Thailand said Her Royal Highness offered food as well as saffron robes and other necessities to 30 Buddhist monks at the Sukhothai Palace,

The Princess was born on January 8, 1987 and had her primary and secondary education at Chitralada School. Her Royal Highness continued her higher education at Chulalongkorn University and finished a bachelor’s degree at the Faculty of Fine and Applied Art with first-class honors, Gold Medal.

Her Royal Highness possesses multiple talents, particularly in arts and sports. With her interests in fashion, the Princess was invited by Mr. Pierre Balmain, a French couturier, to design clothes for the Paris Fashion Week in 2007.

In sports, Her Royal Highness represented Thailand as a national badminton player at the Southeast Asian Games 2005 in the Philippines.

The Princess also excels in horseback riding and took part in an equestrian competition (dressage category) at the Southeast Asian Games in Naypyidaw in 2013 and in a similar competition at the 17th Asian Games in Incheon, Republic of Korea in 2014 , NNT reported.

Not a common usage, but a birthday is the anniversary of one's birth day so it's not difficult to understand what's meant.

Quite often reference is made to celebrating the anniversary of the birth of someone.

For example:

In 2013 this UK 50p will be celebrating the 100th anniversary of the birth of British composer Benjamin Britten.
