neverdie
It's happened before and it will happen again. 83 isn't a bad innings but there's more pleasant ways to depart.
Oziex1
Am I cynical to ask who is bankrolling the investigation? Japanese relatives or is there political pressure to appease the japs?

subterminalvelocity
It'd be great if the Thai AG really made this happen off their own back since an older man is well revered but, as another wrote it's likely money has been paid for justice and yes, appease the Japanese. It's a different game re the fit up of 2 scapegoats in the south.

They haven't even been convicted yet, much less received any sentence. Let's see how the Thai "justice" system deals with this in the end... bbbbooboo
lol......thai women are not known for their ability to wait(like a child) which ultimately, make them do stupid things, which lead to their downfall(like this). Heng
The joke among mia falangs is that the best 'method' is to keep the bathroom really clean by using detergent. The goldfish logic is the law doesn't prosecute for making a poor choice in cleaning agent I guess.
saakura
Boy, that will probably draw a stiff fine and 30 days in jail. I disagree. Thais, in all walks of life but more so the establishment and the elite, have a deep respect for the Japanese and will have far more sympathy for an old Japanese killed brutally, than a westerner or other asian like chinese, india or arabs. These guys will be punished to the fullest extent of the law.
saakura
Good to hear about a little bit of justice. Have read many Perry Mason novels as a schoolboy. Trouble
Just goes to show that one should (1) never bring all assets to Thailand, (2) not let the partner know the extent of assets, (3) not buy property with a Thai partner (4) etc. etc. etc. Enjoy the relationship and pay as you go.
